How to configure BGO to be a little more user friendly

I wonder if people are complaining about the avalanche of posts on BGO because they haven't properly configured the board.

At the top, click on [Set Preferences] and change List Style to "Compressed List" and change Display Style to "Guestbook." I find this works a lot better. A thread of posts is displayed all at once, and not as individual posts. I can't imagine having to click on a slew of individual posts in a thread to read it.
