DQFTC: Safe or take chances now?

I like paying later for the following reasons:

1. If white did not own the cube, then it might be worth paying now in order to double white out if white misses the shot. But white does own the cube.

2. For every roll except 21, white has to either break his board or leave the 20-point. Depending on how white has to leave, blue may have picks and passes or outright pointing on white.

3. Staying back blocks white's 33 and 66. By the time blue gets to roll again, there may well be nothing to block is own 33 and 66..

4. Even if blue pays now and doesn't get hit, the gaps are deadly.

5. Blue often doesn't have to pay later.
