We want a spare on the 8 and to unstack the mid, so definitely 13/7 and not 8/7 for the cover. Then as discussed before, 6/5 dupes 4s. There are also arguments for the split, but look at this way - we want to make the 5 and split the back checkers, and if we slot now, we will be much more likely to have achieved that by next turn than if we split.

24/18 8/7 looks wrong to me - we strip the 8, and which the blot on the 18 distracts, it is also a target and may get pointed on.
