You can also calculate the gain from doubling as:

1/6 * (MWC @ 10-0 minus MWC @ 6-0) +

5/6 * 22/36 * (100% minus MWC @ 6-0) -

5/6 * 14/36 * (MWC @ 2-4 minus 0%)

This takes into account the recube to 16 and might be the easiest way to do the calculation in this particular case, by comparing the MWC from cubing and not cubing in each relevant branch of the game.
