If you needed an extra crossover to get off the gammon (take one from the 6 and put it on the 7), making two now would be more important and change which move is superior.

As it stands, most of the time you will get two rolls to get off the gammon here, distributing your checkers makes it more likely to do so than taking an extra crossover. Also helpful to activate 44 for the occasions where you don't get two rolls.
