Just to add on to Neil's excellent summary. Its important to understand how you will win the game. In this case, we arent going to win by:

Creating a 6-away hold on our 11pt; Moving a useful checker from the place it wants (and needs) to be to a significantly reduced position (the 4pt); Generating new blots; Reducing flexibility.

So, once you understand how we win, then the best move often becomes clear. Of course, this is more often than not quite muddy, and much less clear, however, here, we win by getting to a strong position, then cubing it (either in or out). So, lets do that. Maybe it just feels easy to understand in my head.
