Mike, I think you misread White's opening move in Stick's sequence, which is 31S (not 31P), an understandable oversight given that no competent backgammon player would play S (Split, 24/23 13/10) with 31 on the opening move in a real game! That said, your interpreted sequence (which you had to retro-patch) also works; I marked the differences in blue.
The Nactation for Stick's intended sequence is shown below, and also in the caption of the diagram above.

The dot/period after the E and A (though it might not show up online with all font styles) means that one portion of the doublet is played in the higher area and three portions in the lower area. So, 11E. would be 23/22 6/5(3), while the move played 11e. = 24/23 6/5(3), and in the case of 22A. it means 8/6 6/4(3). The dotted families are simply variants of the more common (plain, two-in-each-area) BEACON families.
Instead of typing a dot/period after the letter, you can combine the letter and the dot into one Unicode character with the "combined ring below," if you know how to do it.
