It sure is oddball needs plenty of lateral thinking. I fancied 6/4(2) gives me 16/36 chances roughly to secure the 2 point. “let him in the old greek said”. Hopefully only one chequer to get home. Despite the fact that I considered the hit my mindset was out of tune I was only thinking safety on my home board. Having only one runner to get home is probably unlikely. The truth is its unlikely that this will be the case whatever is played. My final runner is likely to get bounced around and my home board my never be water tight from a hit. The chance of A 2x2 entry and a hit by blue are less than 1%.In this position whatever the play the outcome may well be the same. A win for blue with or without a gammon. A ploy worth remembering perhaps in another situation.
