It's generally advisable to avoid leaving a direct shot in a mutual holding game, but the safe plays are super-ugly here, and we are behind in the race, so I think we should leave a direct shot. The main candidates are 13/7 8/7 and 10/4 8/7. In favor of holding the 10pt and volunteering a shot on the midpoint, we're behind in the race, so we'd like to keep White's anchor blocked—she's eager to break anchor with tempo, and less excited about hitting from her midpoint. In favor of 10/4 is that covering blots in our board is typically very important if there's any potential of a blot-hitting contest.

I'd play 10/4 8/7 but won't be too surprised if 13/7 8/7 turns out to be better. I expect that modifying the race will affect the decision quite a bit, with 13/7 8/7 getting better the bigger a racing lead White has.
