Well, I certainly send the second checker back with 11/8* since we're behind in the race. Then the question is whether to hit twice with 7/1* or slot with 8/2. If Black had only a three-point board then I would certainly hit twice, but the four-point board worries me a little. Still, the upside is certainly much better after the double hit. At first I wanted to play 8/2 but I'm going to go with the double hit.
