Clearly Blue must double against two on the roof, and with every number adding at least a third point to his board. I would double even if White's 11pt checker were safely back on her midpoint; as it is, that blot is a nice bonus to Blue (in spite of the immediate four-plication).

Owning her 5pt (a bastion of strength that makes all random hits powerful counter-punches), White must have a solid take. However, if Blue had a tenth checker in the zone (maybe even if it were stacked on his 6pt, though I'm not sure about that one), I believe White would have to pass.

I'm interested in two different variants, in case you have time to check them out:

  1. Give Blue an extra 13/6 (as touched on above).
  2. Shift White's 5pt to her 4pt.
