Which bar? #1 (54S-44P-61)

This post initiates a new series of mostly early-game positions. The moniker "which bar" should I think be largely self-explanatory when you see the positions. However, let me say up front that by calling these positions "which bar?" I do not mean to imply that the computer's play is necessarily one of the bar-oriented plays, just that there is always a plausible play involving White's bar and a plausible play involving Blue's bar.

By the way, one reason I decided to plunge into my which-bar folder of errors at this point in time is that I messed up an interesting which-bar problem at Chris Bray's site. I also welcome comments on Chris's position (or more accurately, Leo Waters's position) since I don't fully understand it.
