I just think it is cool to be a State Champion. I won the CA State last year, and I had only won the LA Open before that. I really wanted to be the CA State Champion more.

Seems like it goes back to my first big tournament win, which was the Nevada State Championship in 1993. I thought that was cool...

Maybe I just want to collect State Championships?

On the other hand it was cool to win the US Open, which was another of my goals!
