In Response To: The current rule IS THE PROBLEM (Boris Dekhtyar)

I would play every match on a computer if allowed. No illegal moves; built-in clock; instant evaluation afterwards. No cocked dice; no change of someone putting the checkers back in the wrong place. It keeps score for you.

The ONLY good argument against it is that people like to play on a board. Good for them. That is part of the fun, for many people, of coming to a live event. But at the very highest levels, I fail to understand why the very top players wouldn't be thrilled to play on XG instead.

And if BOTH PLAYERS in an event opt to play on a computer, why the hell not let them?
