I said I would keep an eye out for neglected problems, and this appears to be an example, so I'll take a crack at it.

This is in the blitz-versus-prime family of decisions, but seems too far from Ash Dalvi's examples, or your previous post, to extrapolate directly.

White certainly loses a lot of gammons since she has two checkers up against a four-point board and is almost 30 pips down in the race. Her compensation is of course her four-prime, which includes the best three-point board, and Blue's two checkers which are stuck behind it, not at the edge.

How is the game going to proceed? Blue will of course try to escape his back checkers, and move his other spares if he can't escape. He has to be a little cautious about hitting loose because of White's strong forward position, but he does still have the stronger board, and he has some time to roll escaping numbers. If White manages to anchor then the game can turn around dramatically, but anchoring won't be that easy for White. For that reason I believe the double is clear and the take is what is in question. I would take but am not sure about it.
