because, the person playing the backgame usually has a more complicated position and he would take longer - the racer's problems are much less (a lot of forced or semi-forced moves. Backgames take longer and would push the limits of the 40 minute period.
So, the time period expires and you have reached this position:
The score (after 0 games) is: white 3, You 3 (match to 7 points)
white 50
You 6 Position ID: AAAA2wAAAAAAAA Match ID: QgngADAAGAAA
You have used up most of you clock and are 99.99% to win, but since your opponent has more time on the clock, she wins. Is this an acceptable outcome?
