Just a side comment—this isn't what I would normally think of as a "splitNslot" position. The usual risk with a splitNslot is that you're potentially vulnerable to attack on both sides of the board. Since the opponent has already moved his checkers out of your home board, the slot is not really vulnerable to attack (except indirectly when a blot-hitting contest develops).
