Why dont you just self publish through createspace and kindle? process isnt too difficult.

As for price - personally, I dont think I would be one of your customers here, however, it really depends on the quality of the work. If you are going to put out a backgammon masterclass, then charge appropriately for it. Just remember that each Praxis book was $40 (printed), and that Trice was $40 for his gem. Dont kill off your market with pricing.

In general publishing, a whole lot of authors tend to try and have a few free books so that people can get interested in them, then charge for the rest.
