Even if we ignore the borderline cases, I still see no reason to call "11/10* 24/20" wrong. There is absolutely no danger of confusion. Sometimes it can even be illuminating, because it hints that 11/10* is the "forced" part of the play and the 4 is the question. If your argument that "wrong" is the appropriate word here because it means "not usual" then I would argue that it's "wrong" to play under a 3.0.
