In Response To: Why we should publicize our illegal moves (Michael Sullivan)

"I don't understand why you would hold a position that spectators should by definition never say anything, period, end of story, no discussion needed, when it seems possible to develop a culture, whereby spectators could be used to point out illegal moves without unduly disrupting matches."

Practical worries include

i)The spectator taking on the roll of an official disrupting the match by asking what was rolled.

ii) The spectator seeing a bad play as an illegal play. For example legal 24/18/14 when 24/20*/14 is better.
