We can't run out, so that leaves either making the deuce point or minimizing wastage. If we make the deuce, then we have a choice of also making the full prime or bearing one in.

So, what's more important: making a strong blockade where a hit almost guarantees a win, or avoiding wasting pips in an effort to run off the gammon?

we need 10 crossovers to save gammon, the PF's need 13 crossovers. We are on roll. I think we can afford to make the deuce, but I'll make a transition with 7/6 instead of making the full prime.
