If you assess penalty points, one would forfeit after 30 minutes (5 points x 5 minutes). In an 11 point match you would forfeit after 35 minutes. If you start the clock one would forfeit after 23 minutes in a 9 pt match and 27 minutes in an 11 pt match.

What if you show up after 19 minutes and have only 4 minutes left to finish a 9 pt match? Is that less severe than starting down 0-2?
