Gridgammon question

Hi,

I have an account on Gridgammon and I have played a few games now.

But this evening something new (for me) happened:

I was behind in a 5-point match and my luck was just starting to change in a doubled game.

Suddenly my opponent left the game and started a match on another table.

Now the game is unfinished.

My question is: How and when will this game be finished?

Second question: Can I adjust the option so that unfinished games are impossible?

So that someone who quits a game loses, as on all other websites I play backgammon?
