I am uncomforatble when you add a critique of Neil's play. That is tantamount to consulting.

Seems to me that if a) we refrain from reading other responses before composing our own and b) nobody can change their play once posted (other than legal moves corrections, of course) then what we say after we've made our choice doesn't matter.

For myself, I'd appreciate any intelligent critiques of my choice of play and I find some back-and-forth dialog quite useful. Since it doesn't affect the outcome of the moves and helps intermediates like me better understand things, I think it should be encouraged rather than discouraged.

I thought seriously about making the deuce and after reading what others have said I am now inclined towards that play instead of mine. if it goes to consultation, I'll change it; in the meantime my initial choice stands.
