21 for you

My play is 3/1*, 2/1.
After White's 16 dancing numbers I have 28 numbers to cover and make a five point board plus 44 to switch points. Then I can even start thinking about winning a gammon. If he enters on the 21 point, it's easier to clear the outside points and also safer for the bear-off. White has only 5 hit and cover numbers, 22 24 23 and even if that happens, I can still recover by rolling well off the bar. On his other hits, 26 25 21 it's a blot hitting contest in which he is out-boarded.
Lifting the blot, 11/8, leaves several blotting numbers, 65 64 54 43, on the next turn anyway with White having most likely covered his 4 point. Also, certain non-blotting numbers such as 62 53 and 51, will move more spare checkers to the 3 and deuce points, creating a very awkward position.
