Agree. Surprising then that you didn't nominate a soccer player. Are swimming and bicycle racing really huge sports?

"That's also my problem with Babe Ruth since baseball is predominantly played in the US."

In the top pro league in USA more than a quarter of the players are from outside USA and in the minor league system it is almost half. Many countries in Central America, South America, and Asia have professional leagues. It was different in Babe Ruth's time though.
