I don't see a distinction between what is best to use and what XG uses. I think our current definition of what is right is what XG says is right.
Of course we are not talking about what is right against humans, and I do teach, and personally change my cube action slightly because of human factors. But that aside, I know of no other way than XG to prove the validity of a take point.
So for example, when I say that it is right to use 21.5 for the take point for money, I am also saying that XG also uses something very close to that for a typical race. Below is a clear example that supports that claim.
This position is just above 21.5 winning chances and it is a bare take.
