I mean 2-ply. No one has actually calculated these things so we cannot tell if the RO gets it right though I suspect it does well. The base understanding being wrong though can filter through and cause errors in a RO. For example suppose a position will sometimes lead to a choice of keeping a holding game or settling for a disadvantageous race. Due to giving the holding game more cube power than it should there is a bias towards choosing it.

There is a lot more variation in cube power to just always use the .68 or .70 or whatever multiplier. I think including that in the XG output is possibly more misleading than useful. Certainly there could be every month a question here about why a position is a drop even though it reaches the take point.

I am not a programmer or know enough about neural nets to know for sure but maybe the bots could be trained to come up with an appropriate multiplier based on position inputs.
