Reaching DMP

I suspect in the long run, that it could be more meaningful if the the data was collected from matches between human opponents. For example, we might find some anomaly with the bots that might skew the data in some way. Also, it might be important to only include matches among expert players, such as those who compete in open tourneys.
I recently did a little survey of my own on FIBS to try to determine the actual gammon rate for my own interest. It didn't take long, perhaps about 100 matches to see that the gammon rate was approximately half that used in most match equity tables. My conclusion is that many intermediate players haven't learned to play for gammon, including myself. Taking this little survey was a valuable exercise for me, because it highlighted an aspect of my own play that needs improvement. We never know what we might learn when we make the effort to find answers. The effort required means that i'll remember my little lesson and move forward. This experience also suggests to me, that there is value in looking at the results of the most skilled players.
I'm very much open to suggestions and comments from everyone. How can we make a database that will return maximum value to the bg community? I don't have XG, I use GNU instead. However, it seems to me that most matches in the future will be recorded in both text and XG format, and it might give added value to have matches in both formats, as much as it is possible to do so.
Suggestions and comments are requested. Hopefully we can find an answer to Robert's question. How should DMP be defined for this study? How might the results impact our understanding of match equity, if at all? How should the data be broken down? What issues might affect the results?
