I'd say we should try to get a better anchor before it's too late, given the alternatives. Not unlikely that opponents can hit and cover their five after we play 24/18, but there should be a blot on the 18 then, and 12 return hits for us. 13/7 is too passive, but 13/8 6/5 could be the best move. Still, I'd like to neutralize the opponent's developments up front.
