After 24/23 13/8 the split is safer than normal because white will want to use his 3's and 6'es to cover instead of blitz.

Since white's 4's aren't very useful at the front, he will gladly use them to hit us when we play 6/5.

The match-score points at playing for simple wins, not for gammonish/blitzy positions.

13/7 is too safe, it gives us too little chance to make an anchor.
