Bob Koca recently reiterated his question, “Why use Nactation?”
One of the best answers is this: Nactation is all about the nacbracs, not the Nactation. Look how much easier it is to compare David’s rollouts using nacbracs than it is when the rollouts themselves are presented. The patterns described in Bob’s excellent analysis are easier to see in the nacbracs below than in the rollouts themselves.
As you move from 62R to 63R and then to 64R, the E/N margin gets smaller (and then inverts) at each step. White’s ability to clean up his blot gets easier at each step, so the value of splitting goes down.
62R-11 [E N8] "<62
63R-11 [E N3] "<62
64R-11 [N E54] "<562R-11 d[E N2] "<31
63R-11 d[N E1] "<31
64R-11 d[N E24] "<1062R-11 g[N E9] "<31
63R-11 g[N E16] "<20

63R-11 s[E N22] "<15
64R-11 s[N E15] "<20Key: E = Each [24/22, 6/5(2)], N = Near [8/7(2), 6/5(2)]
