62S etc

I'm trying to understand the differences between an opening 62 played 24-18, 13-11 (I think this is 62S isn't it?), 63S and 64S. If I am reading Stick's exhibits correctly, the cubeless equity between these three are very similar:
62S .0054
63S .0058
64S .0047
However, the live cube has a very different impact on each move
62S .0176
63S .0104
64S .0061
I find this pattern believable. But, I certainly do not understand it. The checker on the nine point is going to be hit more often than the checker on the eleven point. But, I don't understand why this would effect the cubeful equities and not the cubeless equities. I'm stuck for other ideas.
My first question is, am I attaching the correct meaning to the numbers? My second question is, does anyone have an idea why the cube would assist 62S more than it would 63S and 64S?
