This play is going to leave a direct shot regardless, and white will only be too happy to hit loose on the ace after this play. Therefore I'd say it's important for blue to hit first, i.e. 6/1*. To duplicate white's hitting numbers (1 and 5) I'd play 9/6 with the three, so 9/1* in total.
