Indeed it is easy, a study for the lesser mortal maybe. Why on earth is this cube decision being posted at this esteemed forum? I guess Mr Keene has got the sackcloth out. It is good housekeeping to think cube prior to every roll. At this match score one would expect to have a game-winning position to proffer the cube. It is painfully obvious that this position is virtually at parity.”One swallow does not make a summer” one small threat does not make a cube.

The second position can be a bit of a mind bender. On occasions I find that with some tricky plays it helps to play first one dice then the other and then reverse the procedure. Bar/24 leaves a logical 8/4. Bar/21* then what for the one. 24/23 or 6/5*. The aggressive 6/5* seems to fit the bill.. Two in the air with less than a 50% chance of entering both gives me a chance to make an advanced anchor and break the potential four prime and my Pip count looks very healthy. One could give it more deep thought but over the table this will do for me.
