In 1982 and 1983, Michelin Chabot wrote two books on money management in backgammon. He has been kind enough to scan these books and make them available for general download. You can access them here:
- Backgammon: How Much Should You Bet? (1982)
http://www.bkgm.com/books/Chabot/HowMuchShouldYouBet.pdf- Backgammon: How to Maximize Your Profits Using the Kelly System (1983)
http://www.bkgm.com/books/Chabot/HowToMaximizeYourProfits.pdfAs far as I know, these are the only books that have been written about money management in backgammon. Danny Kleinman takes issue with some of Chabot's advice in a review he wrote of the first book, but you have to give Chabot a lot of credit for taking on a subject no body else had tackled up to that point. Thank you to Michelin for sharing his work. I hope this inspires others to do more writing on money management.
