How can precision dice be identified?

To be considered precision, the pips on the dice must be inlaid with a material that is consistent with the weight of the material that was removed.
I believe non-rounded dice can actually be made more precisely than rounded dice. The reason backgammon players prefer rounded dice is to increase the amount the dice roll on the board, which fosters randomness. This is needed because the dice are being delivered to a relatively small surface area.
In Las Vegas, casinos only use non-rounded dice, since they can be made to more exacting standards. They endeavor to insure randomness by requiring the dice to be rolled on a long surface and to be bounced of a dimpled backboard.
