Run or Stay, What's Your Play?

Ahead in the race, it seems to be thematic to run for home with 18/13 18/14. However, it does give White fifteen immediate shots. Even if missed, I am forced to leave a blot with rolls like 31 41 63 22 64 and 55. This means over the next two turns I will be hit about 50% of the time. Without the 18 point, any checker hit will be under more pressure.
Therefore, my play is 8/2*, 6/2. Now White has four dancing rolls after which I might able to run off the 18 point leaving fewer shots. Also, he has awkward rolls from the bar in 11 or 61 which forces a serious positional concession. With other rolls such as 52 and 65, White has to enter on the 20 point and cannot no longer stay back on the 23 point. Though I want to clear the 18 point, keeping it right now does make it harder for White to bring builders to make his 5 and 3 points.
