I have just downloaded gnubg 1.02 and from just several odd vs even depth truncated trials I conducted I can see a difference between my old gnu. Presumably gnubg 1-ply and 3-ply plays and especially cube evaluations are going to be better as well. gnu 3-ply 'Grandmaster' cubes used to be relatively quite bad compared to 2-ply 'World Class'.
