Playing with only one set of dice presents an interesting dilemma for a dice mechanic. He will still be able to switch his loaded dice in and out of the game pretty much at will. When he switches to a set of loaded dice, however, he will not be able to switch them out until you have a turn using them as well! His "racing" dice will be just as good for you as they are for him.

In my unclocked games, I have taken to using only one set of dice. Tapping the board (which simulates punching a clock) is how I indicate the end of a turn.
