The big danger for blue is white escaping a man and then having the timing to attack when blue breaks the 18-point. Now is the time to break it, while white has four men behind a 4-prime. White still won't like it if he fails to roll a 5 or 6, other than 33, 22, and 4-2. And, even if white hits, he will be hard pressed to escape checkers while trying to prime/blitz blue. And, if white escapes a man without hitting (5-2, 5-3, 5-4), blue will be in much better shape, having run off the 18.
