Its just an oversight. Probably from a money game played at 5am, after 17 beers, 4 cases of wine, and 47 hard shell tacos from taco bell.

The same player who didnt realize that he'd forgotten to turn the cube is likely to not think about making the ace and deuce automatically.

It happens. Best of all, it only costs a single point to make this mistake. Or a swing of 2pts. When you should have cashed before your opponent rolls 52.
