Interesting factoid isnt it.

Its odd, because in my experience, I mostly see the same group of players at tournaments. I suppose I can understand many players that just play one, then dont return.

I suppose we should not only do things for first time attendees, but second and third time attendees too - perhaps escalating awards? Example - CJC has a 'newcomers freeroll' at Novi, which is only open to first time attendees of that tournament. Perhaps an additional '2nd timer' free roll with higher prize pools would encourage people to come back. Perhaps the cost is too high though. I'm not a marketing wiz (even though thats in direct conflict with my inflated self opinion), so I couldnt say.
