DMP prime-vs-prime decision

Thank you for posting this, and all the best to you in MC.
I hope to learn something about prime vs. prime positions here. It appears to me, that we want to contain our opponent until after white's board has crunched. We also want to avoid having a checker on the bar while white has any chances of escaping. Hitting white will delay the crunch, and if white dances several times, we will crunch first, and possibly end up with a few checkers on the bar.
7/4 6/4 looks good for our prime, but leaves 20 hitting numbers for white and opens the door for escape. Too risky? If the match score were different, I suspect this move would draw a cube. Would it be the correct move if blue were 4 away?
6/3 5/3 will make it difficult to prime with our 4 point open, and will delay white's crunch. If white re-enters on the 4 pt and escapes, that, also, will delay the crunch we are hoping for. However, it appears to be the lesser of two evils.
Can anyone fill in gaps in my understanding of this position?
