If it's just money....

If all it takes to have good streaming is money, then the solution is easy. If there are enough people who care enough to watch matches streamed, then they should be willing to pay for it. And if they are not willing to pay enough, or there are not enough willing to watch, then we won't have good streaming.
I am sure it would not take a lot of brain surgery to figure out how to make watchers pay, either by having to pay with palpal every time they log in, or having to pay on some site to get a log in key or password.
If this is too expensive of difficult for each tournament to set up each time, and I suspect it is, then what is needed is an international organization or federation to set up a streaming committee to get it done.
This is just one more (of a dozen) reasons why the individual country federations need to come together and form an international organization so that efforts like this, scheduling, rules, sharing of resources, and collective power to get sponsors etc. can be shared and coordinated.
If there was a centralized streaming group for all tournaments, and there was a web site and a simple way to pay and log in, and there were significant veiwers, then it might be a lot easier to find sponsors willing to buy banners to help pay for the streaming to augment the income without interrupting play.
Step one is to organize, for everyone's benefit. Does this sound like a call to arms? Well, it's a call I've been making for 10 or more years...why aren't more people talking to their federation leaders and asking the same question?
