Median vs. Arithmetic Mean

(I'm pretty sure we've discussed this before, but can't remember the details.)

Assuming that outlier matches are the concern (and pitfall in reporting one's error rate), would median be a more informative measure? Or (given that there may be a few players who are consistent and very seldom have outlier matches), use both?

Regarding PR vs. Elo, if you steer positions into those you don't think your opponent can play well, then your PR (if the plan works) deteriorates while your Elo improves. I.e. PR difference is a more meaningful number than absolute PR, IMO, when human plays human.
