Like you, I suspect that the position is better for White than the rollout I posted suggests. However, when deciding whether White has a take, gammons matter. You mentioned that Blue has "good opportunities for gammons" but do you have an educated guess for how often Blue wins a gammon? Note for starters that a 55 from the bar followed by a miss is a gammon for sure.
