It's about money--talk is cheap

Streaming is good for the game. The more people who see backgammon tournament matches, the more exciting the event and the more the game is watched around the world. It helps the game grow. It helps create more heroes and fans and interest. I think most everyone agrees.
All it takes is organization and money.
The USBGF has taken up the challenge and begun to organize this function. Many tournament directors and other organizations (and countries) have started to do a lot more streaming and organize their efforts as well.
What is needed, is money. Joining and supporting your country's federation, and the USBGF is a great way to support this and many other efforts to grow the game. So if you are not already a member, join.
But if you enjoy watching streaming, and you also want to help grow the game through the benefits of streaming, then put your money where your mouth is and donate some money for this effort. I am not telling you where or to whom...just support whatever organization, tournament, or group you value that does streaming.
I said talk is cheap. I will put my money where my mouth is: at the upcoming Charlotte Tournament I will give twenty-five cents on the dollar for every dollar anyone gives to the USBGF for their streaming efforts for ABT events.
I pledge to give a minimum of $100.00 and a maximum of $300.00.
So, anyone else wish to step up to the plate and do the same? Or just donate and make me come out-of-pocket.
As for how and where to make your donations, you can do it in person at the tournament or you can do it by paypal (donations@usbgf.org) ...and it is a tax-deductible donation!
