Blue is neither ahead in the race, nor has 1 checker back. So, running is probably wrong. This leaves 13/8 7/4, 13/8 6/3, 7/4 7/2, or 6/1 3/1. With 5 checkers on 6pt that have nowhere to go but behind White's anchor I would be looking for a play that involves moving one of those checkers. I think 13/8 6/3 does more bad than good. It uses last spare on the midpoint and unnecessarily creates too many blots in his home-board allowing her to play more loosely. I think I would make the ace here. Point is a point, and it may become useful when she decides to attack.
