Hit or no hit?

Making the 3 point, 8/3 6/3 is a reasonable move. However, it creates a stripped position with only one spare on the 20 point and now 31 53 62 are awkward rolls. Also, by not hitting the blot on my 10 point I am allowing White to increase his presence in the outer boards. He can cover the blot with any 5 and 41 or make his 14 point with 61. After that my checkers will have a difficult time coming home.
My play is 13/10*, 20/15 with the plan of making a outside blockade. My blots are relatively safe because of the many return shots if White enters and hits from the bar. After hitting, playing 13/8 with the five is the wrong idea as it isolates the checkers on the 20 point anchor. Hitting the second blot with 6/1* is possible but looks too anti-positional; it is too hard to keep him dancing and run home at the same time.
